Friendship Partners Program
This program is offered to any International student, scholar, researcher, spouse or family of someone at Anschutz Medical Campus.
We will connect you with an American family or individual who will meet with you at least once a month. Our friendship partners are excited to make friends from other countries and learn about new cultures and they are excited to welcome you into their homes and their lives.
It can be hard to be away from home and we want to help make your experience in America one where you feel welcomed and cared for. What do you do after you arrive at Denver International Airport?

- Pickup from Denver International Airport (DIA)
- For any first arrival international student who will be attending University of Colorado at Denver, Metro State University or Anschutz Medical Campus
- Transportation to your private or campus housing or to a motel or hotel for the first night (which, you will need to book your hotel prior to your arrival)

How do you apply?
When you have booked your flights, register below.
Please note:
- You must register 7 DAYS OR MORE before your arrival in Denver.
- If your flight gets in after 12am (midnight) we will not be able to pick you up.
- Inform us before your flight to Denver if you find other transportation from the airport.
- We will try to have the volunteer picking you up be of the same gender, but we cannot guarantee this, as it is dependent upon the availability of our volunteers
What do you do after you arrive at Denver International Airport?
- As soon as your plane lands, connect to free airport wifi and send a message through Wechat or WhatsApp to the volunteer that you have arrived.
- If arriving on a domestic flight, there is a train that takes you from the concourse to the main terminal. At the main terminal, proceed to baggage claim. Your volunteer will contact you to let you know where they will pick you up at the airport. If they do not come after 30 minutes, go to the information booth and request they call your volunteer with the number provided by your volunteer.
- From the airport they will drive you to where you will stay that night.
